Power of Diversity - The Crossing Lines Project

August 19, 2016

On Saturday 27 August the premiere of the Crossing Lines project will be performed on Greenham Common.

Created and performed by local young people aged 17 - 25, the performance will start at the Control Tower on Greenham Common and process across the Common. Taking inspiration from the Soviet-era Russian science fiction novel Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsk and the film Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky, this exciting site-specific performance will feature rap, spoken word and dance.

Walk with us.

Do you lust for death? Do you crave the eye of death?

The Zone right next to you is like sitting on top of a volcano.

An epidemic could break out any day.

Walk with us. Make a trip into The Zone.

The performance is the culmination of two weeks workshop working with internationally renowned outdoor theatre company PAN.OPTIKUM as part of our Creative Europe partnership. We’re working alongside partners from ten countries to develop workshops and performances with young people. This is the first and only time it will be performed - so this is a truly unique opportunity. Click here to learn more about the project
